Liverpool fans ought to be very excited about the upcoming release of FIFA 20.

Following their Champions League triumph and second-placed finish in the Premier League last season, the Reds are now one of the best teams in the game.

Mohamed Salah (90), Virgil van Dijk (90), Alisson (89) and Sadio Mane (88) are Liverpool's highest-rated players after being handed boosts from last year's edition.

Andy Robertson (85), Georginio Wijnaldum (84) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (83) have also risen, while Roberto Firmino (86) and Fabinho (85) are non-movers.

Liverpool's average rating is very high on FIFA 20 and they're going to be a popular team to use in online modes as a result.

Only Manchester City's player ratings really compare in the Premier League, while Tottenham are the next closest but still some way off.

Liverpool have come a long way since Jurgen Klopp took over as manager in 2015 and the players' ratings over the past five editions of FIFA demonstrate that.

For example, when FIFA 16 was released in 2015, one year before Mane's move to Liverpool, the Senegalese was a 78-rated centre forward at Southampton.

He's now 88 rated on FIFA 20 and one of the best wingers in the world.

It's a similar story for Van Dijk, who was 77 rated on FIFA 16 and is now the best centre-back on FIFA 20 at 90 rated.

A graphic has been made showing how Liverpool's star players - who coincidentally make up their best starting XI - have grown since FIFA 16. Check it out below.
