Real Madrid left Paris with their tails between their legs after Paris Saint-Germain ran out 3-0 winners at the Parc des Princes last night.

The two European giants clashed in the opening fixture of their Champions League campaign and, despite PSG missing Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe, they eased to victory.

It left Zinedine Zidane with a lot of questions and very few answers.

One of those questions may concern goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The former Chelsea ‘keeper hasn’t kept a clean sheet since for Real since February!

And he didn’t have a great night in France as he allowed Angel di Maria’s opener to fly past him at the near post.

It certainly won’t help the criticism from Real fans, who are yet to be convinced by the Belgian since his arrival for £35m in the summer of 2018.

It makes the decision to sell talented shot-stopper Keylor Navas to last night’s opponents even more baffling.

Navas didn’t have a shot to save during the 90 minutes but many supporters feel that he would actually be a better option in goal for Madrid right now.

But Navas will no doubt be happy with his decision to leave the Bernabeu as he’s now playing regularly for a top European club.

And a rather cheeky photo has emerged at full-time of Navas winking in the direction of Courtois.

While there’s no suggestion that Navas was mocking Courtois with his wink after the match, the photo is, unsurprisingly, being shared online.

After the game, Navas was actually asked about his relationship with Courtois.

"I did not leave Real Madrid because of that," he said, when asked about the rivalry with Courtois.

"I left because my family and I thought this was the best option for us. I was welcomed as if I had been here for a very long time.

"The best I can give is to defend these colours to the death, to work hard and to try to win important games."
