Barcelona finished top of the pile last season, winning La Liga on 87 points, 11 points clear of Atletico Madrid in second.

Despite a couple of bumps in the road, it proved to be a great term for Ernesto Valverde and his side.

And to reflect on their title-winning campaign, the club is set to release an eight-part documentary called ‘Match Day’ which is set to give an alternate angle on last season’s La Liga heroics.

However, Barca fans will also have to relive that torrid night at Anfield in the Champions League semi-final.

After taking a three-goal advantage into Merseyside from the first leg, Liverpool completed an unbelievable come-back, winning 4-0.

And according to RMC – BFMTV, one episode of the documentary will be focused purely on that night at Anfield.

It is set to show the reaction in the dressing room following the defeat and it’s safe to say, it’s bound to be an interesting watch.

Rakuten TV, who are produced by Barca defender Gerard Pique, are reportedly interested in broadcasting the documentary which is set to be released later this year.

The way things stand, Barca fans will probably want to reflect on the glory of last season to reignite their hopes after their side got off to a shaky start to this campaign.

After losing their opening match of the new La Liga season, Barca would go on to win 5-2 either side of a 2-2 draw with Osasuna.

However, they fell to another defeat yesterday, losing 2-0 away at Granada.

Their up-and-down form means Barca sit seventh on seven points but remain only three points adrift of Granada who find themselves at the peak.

Up next for Barca is the visit of Villarreal on Tuesday night, a side who have won their last two games.
