Like so many things in modern football, watching Manchester United ain't what it used to be.Remember when Sir Alex Ferguson said, "Football! Bloody hell!"United fans are probably thinking the same right now, only for all the wrong reasons. The Red Devils have failed to win any of their last nine games in all competitions, suffering their sixth and most recent defeat at the hands of West Ham. Manuel Pellegrini's side eased to a fairly routine 2-0 victory against a United side severely lacking in inspiration.

Andriy Yarmolenko broke the deadlock in the first half, before Aaron Cresswell ensured the hosts would keep all three points with a fine free-kick.

It ensured Manuel Pellegrini went home happy at the end of his 50th game in charge of the Hammers.

Let's be honest, though, it was his opposing manager who was the main topic of conversation.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under renewed pressure having led his side to just two wins from their opening six league games of the season.

It's not just results that are underwhelming either. United are simply not playing well and are not enjoyable to watch.

Juan Mata missed a sitter and Jesse Lingard failed to really get involved after coming on for Marcus Rashford.

Even Daniel James had a quiet game by the standards we've come to expect of the young Welshman.

In fact, United were so poor going forward, can you blame one of their fans who was caught by the Sky Sports cameras napping?

The seats at the London Stadium get a hard time for being so far back, but at least they're mighty comfy.

It's a credit to United's famous away support that they are still persevering at all given their side's woes on the road.

They're now on a run of 11 away games without a clean sheet.

That represents their worst run since conceding in 14 consecutive matches away from Old Trafford between April-December 2002.

Fortunately, their next away league game isn't until October 6, when they travel to Newcastle United.
