Tottenham fans will forever have fond memories of their 2018/19 Champions League campaign.

Mauricio Pochettino's side defied all the odds to reach the final in Madrid, eventually losing 2-0 to Liverpool.

Spurs looked like they would be crashing out of the competition in the group stages after they failed to win any of their first three games.

However, they turned the tide by beating Inter Milan and PSV at home, before securing a 1-1 draw in Barcelona on match day six to seal progress to the knockout stages.

Pochettino's men then conquered Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Ajax to reach Madrid, with the second-leg against Ajax one of the most memorable Champions League games of all time.

Spurs came from 2-0 down to win 3-2, with Lucas Moura scoring the crucial goal with the last kick of the game.

A memorable campaign, but when you fall at the final hurdle and are renowned for being 'Spursy', having a book released on that run to the final probably isn't the best idea.

But that's exactly what happened and rival fans are already having a good ol' giggle at Spurs' expense.

The 224-page book, which is available on Amazon, is entitled 'One Step from Glory' and at the time of writing, it's rating is just a measly one-and-a-half stars.

And predictably, some of the reviews are gold. Below, we've provided some of our favourites.

Alex wrote: "This book is comedy Gold, I have already read it 3 times. A real page turner with a fantastic twist at the end."

Another Amazon user wrote: "Didn't even win it at the end of the book. What a waste of paper."

Dan also wrote: "Typical spurs. Forever in our shadow 😂😂."

Sometimes, the memes really do write themselves.
