FIFA have officially named Jurgen Klopp as the winner of The Best Men’s Coach of the Year.

The award was an all Premier League affair this year with Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola all earning nominations from football's governing body.

Despite losing out in a thrilling title with Manchester City, Klopp executed his finest season at Liverpool so far and guided them to Champions League glory in May.

The Reds won 2-0 in the final thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi, while also securing that heroic comeback against Barcelona along their way to Madrid.

Klopp, who can't be considered anything less than a hero at Anfield, also secured the UEFA Super Cup and looks on course for another Premier League challenge with six wins out of six.

Manager of the year named

As for Guardiola, there might have been more frustration on the European stage, but the Spaniard made English football his playground with an unprecedented quadruple.

His City side defeated Chelsea on penalties for the Carabao Cup, won a second consecutive Premier League crown and obliterated Watford 6-0 during the FA Cup final.

And just for good luck, they even won the Community Shield via a shootout against Liverpool.

Yet more silverware

Pochettino also made his way on to the list of nominees despite now going five years without a trophy at Tottenham Hotspur.

However, there can be no doubting that the Argentine has worked miracles in north London and guided Spurs to a fourth-place finish despite two transfer windows without spending.

His magnum opus, though, came with a run to the Champions League final that - despite ending in defeat to Liverpool - featured that unforgettable comeback against Ajax.

Incredibly impressive years for all three managers, but it could only be Klopp on a thrilling night of awards in Milan.
