England have maintained their 100% record at this year's Rugby World Cup after thrashing USA 45-7 this morning in Kobe.Eddie Jones' men went into the tie as heavy favourites, but USA are certainly a rugby team on the up, with plenty of their players plying their trade in the Aviva Premiership these days. However, they couldn't cause an upset this morning, starting their campaign with a rather embarrassing defeat. For England, though, they are now 2-0 at the competition, defeating Tonga in their opening game on Sunday and following that up with a routine win this morning. It took Jones' men just five minutes to take the lead as George Ford ran over under the posts, with USA's defence all over the shop. No surprise that the 5-0 lead quickly turned into a 7-0 one, with Ford adding two points to his try.Just before the half hour mark, England extended their lead to 12-0 after Billy Vunipola and co. forced their way over the line after a line-out. The conversion was again successful, taking the lead to 14-0.It didn't take long before it was then 19-0 as Luke Cowan-Dickie added a third try before half-time.There were calls for England to lose a man during the first half, after a tackle was high and shoulder to head, however, the referee in charge saw nothing wrong with it, much to the bafflement of rugby fans.Jones' men started the second-half much like they ended the first, in domineering fashion. The 19-0 lead quickly turned into a 24-0 one after Joe Cokanasiga scored his first try of the tournament. It was very clear that as the game went on, USA started to tire and they were helpless to stop England from making it 29-0 as Ruaridh McConnochie fell over the line. Ford added a third conversion to his name to make it 31-0.It wasn't over there, however, as Lewis Ludlam made it 36-0 with still 13 minutes left to go. Men against boys in Kobe. Unsurprisingly, Ford converted to make it 38-0.It was clear USA were losing their way, and no more so obvious when John Quill got sent off for throwing his shoulder into the head of Owen Farrell.

With five minutes left, it was 43-0 to England as Cokanasiga powered through for his second try of the game, and Ford once again converted to make it 45-0.

A very successful morning's work for Eddie Jones' men, despite it ending 45-7 in the end with a last-minute try from USA.

England now must wait over a week for their next game, as they take on Argentina next Saturday, whilst USA are next in action on Wednesday as they take on France.
