Manchester United and Arsenal clash on in the Premier League on Monday night.

In years gone by, it's been the biggest fixture in England. But with both clubs falling down the table, it doesn't quite mean as much this year.

Despite that, there will still be an edge to the game, there's absolutely no doubt about that. The two sides and their supporters would love nothing more than to get three points tonight.

At Old Trafford, it usually is United who win. In fact, the Gunners haven't been victorious in their last 12 league visits to Manchester. They did win an FA Cup tie back in 2015, though.

Over the years, the hosts haven't always played a strong team either. Actually, Arsenal have been beaten by some pretty weak starting XIs recently. Check them out below.

Manchester United 2 - 0 Arsenal - FA Cup quarter-final (March 2011)

United's starting XI: Edwin Van der Sar; Wes Brown, Chris Smalling, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra; Rafael, John O'Shea, Darren Gibson, Fabio; Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez.

It may have been in the FA Cup, but this team needs recognition. Sir Alex Ferguson played seven defenders in his starting XI and still won the game.

Fabio opened the scoring with one of his three United goals that day, while Rooney added the second. Unbelievable.

Manchester United 8 - 2 Arsenal - Premier League (August 2011)

United's starting XI: David De Gea; Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Johnny Evans, Patrice Evra; Nani, Anderson, Tom Cleverley, Ashley Young; Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck.

Things got even worse for Arsenal five months after that 2-0 defeat. Arguably their most embarrassing Premier League defeat in history came at the hand of a very weak United side.

Welbeck, Nani and substitute Park Ji-sung all scored to add to Rooney's hat-trick and Young's double. A terrible day for Arsenal.

Manchester United 1 - 0 Arsenal - Premier League (November 2013)

United's starting XI: David De Gea; Chris Smalling, Nemanja Vidic, Johnny Evans, Patrice Evra; Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick, Shinji Kagawa; Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie.

This certainly isn't United's weakest team, but it's not exactly one full of quality either. Oh, and David Moyes was in the dugout too.

Arsenal were also top of the league when the two teams clashed but Van Persie came back to haunt his old side, scoring the only goal of the game.

Manchester United 3 -2 Arsenal - Premier League (February 2016)

United's starting XI: David De Gea; Guillermo Varela, Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo; Morgan Schneiderlin, Ander Herrera; Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Memphis Depay; Marcus Rashford.

In this game, United literally had no centre-backs available. Arsenal needed a win to close the gap to Leicester at the top of the league to two points. The perfect opportunity, right?

Wrong. On his debut, Rashford had two touches inside the penalty area in the first 35 minutes - both were goals. Mata added the third goal and the Gunners could only manage two of their own.

The visitors' title challenge was effectively over and once again, it was United who came out on top.

So: Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Rashford are all doubts for Monday's clash at Old Trafford.

But given previous results when United have been under-strength, this next one certainly won't be straight forward for the Gunners.
