The Women’s UEFA Champions League draw took place this afternoon as English clubs Arsenal and Manchester City look ahead to their Round of 16 tie.

Going into the draw, here’s how to teams were separated:

Seeded
Lyon (FRA, holders)
Wolfsburg (GER)
Paris Saint-Germain (FRA)
Barcelona (ESP)
Bayern München (GER)
Slavia Praha (CZE)
Manchester City (ENG)
Brøndby (DEN)

Unseeded
Fortuna Hjørring (DEN)
BIIK-Kazygurt (KAZ)
Glasgow City (SCO)
Atlético Madrid (ESP)
FC Twente (NED)
Arsenal (ENG)
FC Minsk (BLR)
Breidablik (ISL)

The teams were divided based on club coefficients and the eight with the highest were in the seeded pot, while the lowest were in the unseeded pots. Clubs could not be drawn against their own association – in this case, England, Spain and Denmark had teams in both the seeded and unseeded pots.

The two English sides were drawn last as Arsenal travel to Slavia Praha meanwhile Manchester City will host Atletico Madrid.

Reigning Champions Lyon host Fortuna Hjørring and their opponents from last year’s final, Barcelona, welcome FC Minsk.

The ties in full are:

Glasgow City v Brøndby IF
FC Barcelona v FC Minsk
BIIK-Kazygurt v FC Bayern Munich

VFL Wolfsburg v FC Twente

The first leg will be played across 16th/17th October with the second in the latter stages of the month, commencing across the 30th/31st.
