WWE ended their Raw season premiere this week with a rather usual angle with Rusev and a returning Lana and Bobby Lashley that has got fans talking.Monday Night Raw's main event saw Rusev challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship. The match was originally intended for Rey Mysterio, but he was taken out by Brock Lesnar earlier in the night. The Bulgarian Brute earned his shot against Rollins after helping out the Universal Champion when he was attacked by Randy Orton and Baron Corbin during the Team Hulk Hogan vs Team Ric Flair Crown Jewel match announcement. However, Rusev was never able to capitalize on any momentum he gained during the night as he was distracted by what Lana and Bobby Lashley were doing at the top of the ramp while he was in the ring.Earlier in the night, Rusev was quiet when he was asked about Lana, and now we know why, as it appears The Ravishing Russian is now seeing Lashley as the two had a makeout session in front of The Bulgarian Brute.

Lana and Lashley continued to do this until the lights went out and The Fiend appeared and choked out Rollins with a Mandible Claw to end the show.

The whole Rusev/Lana/Lashley angle was so odd and unbelievable that fans are surprised that WWE is going with another infidelity storyline following the bad reaction to the Maria and Mike Kanellis storyline.

Some fans are even embarrassed by WWE attempts to fool fans about Rusev and Lana's real-life marriage in 2019.

Obviously, it looks like Rusev vs Lashley will be a new feud on Raw after tonight's show, but there's no word yet on if WWE has plans to pair the real-life married couple of Rusev and Lana back together at any point.

Fans have argued that it made such a good Raw premiere end with such an odd angle that should have been booked for earlier on in the show. At least The Fiend was on hand to save the day.
