After drawing their opening Champions League match against Olympiacos, Tottenham needed a positive result when Bayern Munich came to town. And it looked as though Mauricio Pochettino's side would achieve that after making a terrific start to the clash. They could have taken the lead on a number of occasions before Son Heung-min fired past Manuel Neuer in the 12th-minute.Chances came and went for Spurs to double their lead before they were eventually punished.Joshua Kimmich equalised with a fine strike from outside the box that curled away from Hugo Lloris.

Then, on the stroke of half-time, a moment of magic from Robert Lewandowski put Bayern ahead.

His flick to take on Jan Vertonghen was incredible.

A few seconds later, the ball fell to him inside the penalty area. He turned and finished superbly to put the German's 2-1 up at the interval.

Absolutely brilliant.

Lewandowski's goal set the tone for a quite incredible second-half.

Gnabry's two goals in two minutes put Bayern 4-1 up before Spurs got themselves back into the game with a Harry Kane penalty.

But then, the Germans turned on the style.

Gnabry completed his hat-trick before Lewandowski added his second.

There was still time for former Arsenal player Gnabry to score his fourth and Bayern's seventh.

Incredible.
