Bayern Munich humiliated Tottenham in the Champions League on Tuesday night. 

The Bundesliga champions rocked up to north London, put seven past Hugo Lloris and jumped on a plane back to Bavaria sitting pretty at the top of Group B. 

Robert Lewandowski and Philippe Coutinho put in brilliant performances, but it was Serge Gnabry's night. 

The ex-Arsenal youngster scored four - yes, four - against Spurs. 

His quality has been on show in the Bundesliga for a while now, but Tuesday was the first time the German has dominated Premier League opposition since leaving England in 2016.  

Gnabry has only been at Bayern since 2018/19 but after his debut campaign, he was named the club's Player of the Year. 

He played 42 times, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists. He also won Player of the Month awards twice that season.

Not bad at all for a player who was once told he couldn't cut it at West Brom - no, seriously.

In October 2015, Gnabry was on-loan from Arsenal at the Baggies, looking to play first-team Premier League football. 

But he was unfancied by manager Tony Pulis, who infamously said the 20-year-old wasn't 'at the level' required to play for West Brom. 

"Serge has come here to play games but he just hasn't been for me, at the moment, at that level to play the games," Pulis said four years ago, per ESPN. 

"He's come from academy football and not played much league football - does academy football really prepare players for league football? And we're talking about Premier League football here."

Well, that's gone down in history as one of the worst shouts ever. 

Fast forward four years and Gnabry has risen to incredible heights, while West Brom have fallen from grace.
