American fighter Brock Lesnar might now be best known as a professional wrestler within WWE, but he didn’t do too badly during his time in the UFC either.

It turns out that the 42-year-old, who left the UFC to re-join the WWE in April 2012, earned over $5 million from his eight-year spell in the Octagon.

Almost half of this total came from Lesnar’s final UFC bout against Mark Hunt, which earnt the heavyweight a whopping $2,255,000 despite a failed drugs test.

Here are Lesnar’s UFC earnings in full, listed fight by fight:

UFC 81 (2008): Loss (Frank Mir) -- $250,000
UFC 87 (2008): Win (Heath Herring) -- $450,000 ($250,000 to show, $200,000 win bonus)
UFC 91 (2008): Win (Randy Couture) -- $450,000 ($250,000 to show, $200,000 win bonus)
UFC 100 (2009): Win (Frank Mir) -- $400,000
UFC 116 (2010): Win (Shane Carwin) -- $475,000 ($400,000 to show, $75,000 Submission of the Night bonus)
UFC 121 (2010): Loss (Cain Velasquez) -- $400,000
UFC 141 (2011): Loss (Alistair Overeem) -- $400,000
UFC 200 (2016): Win (Mark Hunt) -- $2,255,000 ($2,500,000 to show, $250,000 fine for failed drug test, $5,000 Reebok sponsorship)

We’re sure you didn’t count all of that up as you went along. Doing so would have taken us as much effort as it took Lesnar to earn all that money.

With the help of a calculator, we can confirm that Lesnar’s total earnings over eight fights in the UFC amounted to $5,125,000.

And according to Game 7, that total might not even include “any secret paydays” or “bonuses he might have received from UFC president Dana White”.

Back in May, White extinguished any hopes that Lesnar would return to the Octagon. He confirmed that the heavyweight had retired for good from the UFC, and would therefore not be facing his fierce rivals Daniel Cormier or Jon Jones any time soon.

Instead, the American is currently enjoying his second spell in professional wrestling, and is due to face Kofi Kingston for the WWE championship on Friday.

And we’re sure he’s adding many more millions to his total from the UFC in the process!
