Liverpool could not have got off to a better start against RB Salzburg on Wednesday night. Goals from Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson, and Mo Salah saw the Reds sail into a 3-0 lead with less than 40 minutes on the clock. Not only have Jurgen Klopp's men enjoyed a perfect start in the Premier League, it seems they're now transferring that form into the Champions League too. The European champions didn't get their campaign off to an ideal start when they slipped up 2-0 away to Napoli. However, it was always going to be a momentous occasion when they returned to Anfield for the first time since beating Tottenham in the 2019 final.

The only dampener in the first half came when Salzburg's Hwang Hee-chan broke through to score what looked like a mere consolation - but what a way he went about it.

The 23-year-old made a mockery of the idea that Virgil van Dijk, almost without question the world's best defender, just can't be dribbled past.

The Dutchman was left eating grass as the forward sailed past him and smashed the ball into the back of the net.
