What a finish. That technique is exquisite.

Suarez was jeered by a section of his own fans last week but Ernesto Valverde quickly came to his defence.

"Suarez has only played a few games this season because he was out injured for four weeks," Valverde said, per Sport.

"He still needs fine-tuning because he's been injured, but now there's not much training time at the moment.

"What he needs to do, in that sense, needs to be done on the go, on the pitch, it's similar with (Ousmane) Dembele. And Leo (Messi).

"They have to get back to match fitness but, like all goal scorers, when the goals come, they come in a run. When they don't come, it seems like a dip. We hope he keeps on giving a lot to the team, like always."
