A good scout can be a valuable asset to a football club.Take Ben Wrigglesworth, for example. He’s the scout who helped Leicester City discover N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez - and look how that worked out for the Foxes.Leicester paid £400,000 for Mahrez and £5.6 million for Kante. They sold the pair - after they had helped them win the Premier League - for a combined £92m.Yet one League One club hasn’t bothered to go down the route of scouting their next player. They’ve just posted an advert on job website Indeed.

The unnamed club are on the lookout for a ‘Physical Striker’. They were recently in the Premier League and have offered a yearly salary of £50,000 - £75,000.

Requirements include a “physical presence” and the ability to “hold up the ball well.”

Yet, unfortunately, this isn’t a vacancy for any Sunday League striker. The club, which some are predicting to be Bolton or Portsmouth, want a player who has Championship or equivalent experience and a decent goal record at League One or a more senior level.

Someone who has played in the Premier League before is also desirable.

Despite DB Sports Agency’s desire for an experienced professional to join, there will no doubt be applications from, well, just about everybody wanting to play football.

So what are you waiting for - get your applications in!

Back in January, Stoke City used Indeed to search for three new players.

The Championship side wanted a central defender, a winger and a striker.

The Potters were seeking player with Champions League experience.

Who knew there was a whole world of players being snapped up on Indeed.co.uk?!

Twitter users have been guessing the League One club seeking a new striker.

Here’s hoping they find someone ready to lead the line.
