The gameplay trailer for WWE 2K20 was released onto YouTube today.

The video, released by 2K United Kingdom, is called ‘Let Me In’ and features Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego The Fiend as one of its centrepieces.

The Fiend, of course, will wrestle Seth Rollins for his Universal Championship inside Hell in a Cell at the stipulation’s eponymous pay-per-view on Sunday evening.

Wyatt’s character, who debuted at SummerSlam this August, could very well be the champion by the time of the game’s release on October 22.

The other focus of the trailer was Becky Lynch. Lynch is the first female cover star of a WWE video game since Chyna in 2000’s WWF SmackDown!

The game will mark the return to a WWE video game for Chyna, ending a 19-year absence since WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role was released in November 2000.

The female focus on the game follows the Women’s Revolution that picked up added steam last year following Lynch’s rise to prominence.

This also included a first-ever all woman’s WWE pay-per-view WWE Evolution in October 2018 that was headlined in part by Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.

Those three wrestlers, of course, competed in the first-ever female WrestleMania main event in April. Becky Lynch became the Women’s Champion of both RAW and SmackDown by becoming the first person to pin Ronda Rousey on WWE television.

The evolution featured the re-birth of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in February at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The inaugural champions were the other two members of the aforementioned Four Horsewomen Sasha Banks and Bayley.

The 2K Showcase Mode has returned and this year will focus on the Four Horsewomen, covering 15 matches of their careers, which all met at NXT.

The 15 matches for the 2K Showcase has been announced and includes the fatal four-way match that they took part in at NXT TakeOver: Rival in February 2015 as well as the aforementioned WrestleMania 35 main event.

The MyCareer mode has received an overhaul. Players can now embark on a female career mode, creating female wrestlers to use in MyCareer and other modes.

Also, mixed tag-team matches will make a return to a WWE video game, thanks in part to the popularity of WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge.

Another focus was on the accompanying cover star Roman Reigns. The 2K Towers Mode this year will focus on The Big Dog’s career and includes his WrestleMania bouts with the likes of The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar.

A welcoming sight from the trailer, for NXT fans especially, will be the return of Tommaso Ciampa after he was controversially not featured in WWE 2K19.

Ciampa is one of the almost 100 wrestlers already confirmed for the game released in three weeks.
