Remember at the 2019 Women’s World Cup, when the United States defeated Thailand 13-0 en route to winning the tournament?

The US recorded the biggest ever victory in Women’s World Cup history as they opened up their campaign in emphatic style.

Alex Morgan scored five goals while Megan Rapinoe also got on the scoresheet.

Yet that crazy scoreline is nothing compared to what happened in Brazil last week.

Flamengo’s women’s team thrashed Greminho 56-0.

Yes, you read that correctly. 56-0.

That’s a goal every 96 seconds.

The Carioca Championship game in Rio de Janeiro is one of the most one-sided games in recent history.

Flamengo were 7-0 up inside 11 minutes and scored 29 goals in total by half-time.

Any suggestions that they would ease up were quickly put to bed, though.

Flamengo scored 27 goals in the second half to make the final scoreline 56-0.

Flamengo’s Atacante Raiza and Flavia both scored 11 goals while Samhia Simao grabbed nine.

So, who’s getting the match ball?

Flamengo have been rampant in the Carioca Championship, scoring 79 goals in their opening three matches.

It appears the Brazilian side have been watching Benfica’s women’s team closely.

Benfica women scored 293 goals in 16 matches, including a 32-0 win in one match.

They didn’t concede once during those 16 games, either.

Talk about domination.
