The first episode of SmackDown on FOX was always going to bring up big moments, and not just ones involving WWE stars from the past and present.

We did get legends such as The Rock make appearances, and we also saw Brock Lesnar compete on a weekly WWE show for the first time since 2004 as he defeated Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship.

Everyone was talking about a non-wrestler though on social media, but he's more than skilled in a physical sport.

Early on in the broadcast, WWE showed the Lineal Heavyweight Champion of the Boxing world - Tyson Fury - at ringside soaking up the atmosphere of the Staples Center, an arena where he's competed before.

He was also seen exchanging pleasantries with Hulk Hogan in the front row, but that wouldn't be the end of his night.

During an eight-man tag match, which pitted Braun Strowman, The Miz and Heavy Machinery against Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Randy Orton and AJ Styles, Strowman cleared out his opponent on the outside of the ring with his signature charge around the ring.

What followed saw the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats, as Strowman and Fury went face-to-face, as the Monster Among Men told the Brit that he didn't 'want these hands'.

With Fury still stood up though, Strowman drove Ziggler into the barricade, and that angered The Gypsy King, who was almost knocked over.

After Strowman got the victory for his team, Fury actually jumped the barricade and for a moment it looked like we were going to get the two in the middle of the ring.

Unfortunately though, security swarmed Fury and spoilt everyone's fun - but the thought Strowman and Fury going at it in a match is sure interesting.

Fury has bigger fish to fry though in the form of a rematch with Deontay Wilder in February 2020, and this was probably just a bit of cross-promotion from FOX, who will be co-hosting that fight with ESPN.

Imagine Fury v Strowman at WrestleMania 36 though...
