Jeff Hardy is arrested for the second time in 2019 for 'driving whilst impaired'

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy has been out of the ring for a good few months after undergoing surgery, and the year of 2019 keeps getting worse for the former WWE Champion.

Hardy suffered a leg injury earlier in the year, and at the time he and his brother Matt were the SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Both men were taken out by Lars Sullivan on an episode of SmackDown, and a week later the Hardy Boyz were forced to vacate the titles - and the time-frame of Jeff's recovery was said to be six to nine months.

That's left Matt on the shelf too with no plans, but whilst he's seemingly been keeping himself busy and active, the same can't be said for Jeff.

In July, The Charismatic Enigma was arrested by police in Myrtle Beach, North Carolina for public intoxication, at just 11:15 in the morning.

Whilst WWE stated that Hardy was 'responsible for his own personal actions', it was the second time since his return to the company that he had crossed the wrong side of the law.

In March 2018, Hardy crashed his car and was charged with driving whilst intoxicated, so it's clear to see that there are some underlying issues.

And just when you thought he may be able to turn a corner, news broke overnight of Hardy's second arrest of the year, and third within 18 months.

Jeff Hardy is currently out of action with a knee injury

According to PW Insider, Hardy was arrested yet again on Thursday evening for 'driving whilst impaired' in North Carolina, but he was released late in the night whilst police continued their investigation.

Whilst not wanting to speculate too much, it looks like Hardy has a problem and being away from the ring is clearly not helping.

Vince McMahon though has always helped superstars when they are in need, such as giving free rehab to former star Maven, and there's no reason why Jeff Hardy can't be helped to get back on the straight and narrow.
