WWE fans who were hoping for Bray Wyatt to walk out of Hell In A Cell as Universal Champion were left severely disappointed.

The main event saw Wyatt's alter-ego 'The Fiend' kick out of several of Rollins' finishers, but after a dozen or so Curb Stomps, the crowd in Sacramento turned on arguably WWE's biggest babyface right now.

Rollins was trying to eviscerate The Fiend, and with a multitude of weapons stacked on him, such as a ladder, a chair and a toolbox, the referee saw fit to disqualify Rollins for a sledgehammer shot...in a HELL IN A CELL match.

None of it made any sense and the fans in attendance revolted, as they chanted for the match to be restarted and even for WWE's competition - All Elite Wrestling.

Wyatt still ended the pay-per-view on top, as he rose from the stretcher he was being placed on to leave Rollins laying with a Mandible Claw. A rematch surely awaits.

The other Cell match saw Becky Lynch defend her Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks, and the majority expectation was that the Lasskicker would be losing and heading to SmackDown.

Both women put their bodies on the line in a hard-hitting match, but maybe surprisingly it was LYNCH who was victorious.

After Banks was hit with a Bexploder Suplex onto a pile of chairs, the Irishwoman Lynch made The Boss tap to the DisArmHer.

Away from the dreaded structure, we saw Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan team up to try and fend off the dangerous attacks of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.

The bout was turned into a Tornado Tag Match, and that saw the match taken to the outside, with Reigns absolutely wiped out by a barricade at one point.

In the end though, REIGNS and BRYAN were able to pick up the win, downing Harper with the Superman Punch, Busaiku Knee and Spear all within seconds of each other.

We saw a title change later on in the night as CHARLOTTE FLAIR began her 10th reign as Women's Champion.

Bayley walked in as champion, but she was defeated pretty tamely in the end, not long after the referee stopped a pin-fall count as she had her feet on the ropes.

One Figure Eight Leg Lock later and Charlotte had the title over her shoulder once again - one can only assume that Bayley and Sasha may be trading brands in the WWE Draft.

One of the matches that was added very late in the day was Randy Orton against Ali, which was only made on the Kick Off Show.

Orton gave Ali a horror eye injury back in February, and this was referenced to when the match was made.

Ali looked to pick up another nasty injury mid-match, this time to his ribs, and not long after he countered the RKO very cleverly, ORTON ended up hitting his famous move as Ali jumped straight into it, and straight into a defeat.

Another match that was made earlier in the day was a Women's Tag Title defence for Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

They were hastily put into a match with the Kabuki Warriors - Asuka and Kairi Sane - and it looks like there was a heel turn to finish the match.

With Bliss taking out Sane on the outside and the referee's back turned, ASUKA used a classic Japanese trick with the green mist on Cross, and the Kabuki Warriors captured the titles for the first time.

A six-man tag match between The O.C. [AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows] and the Viking Raiders and Braun Strowman happened, and it was a victory for the latter trio, who won via disqualification after The O.C. took out Strowman.

The main talking point to take out of the contest though was after the match, where Braun laid out Styles with a big right hand - a warning shot to Tyson Fury, who will be appearing on Raw tomorrow night - we see a match on the horizon...

Also occurring on the show was a third match between King Baron Corbin and Chad Gable, the man who was defeated by Corbin in the King of the Ring final.

GABLE made his record against him one win, one loss and one draw, after he secured a roll-up win in the middle of the ring - but he was humiliated further by announcer Greg Hamilton referring to him as 'Shorty Gable'.

And on the Kick Off Show, NATALYA defeated Lacey Evans in the latest instalment of their long-running feud.

After Nattie made Evans tap to the Sharpshooter, the Canadian used Lacey's own Woman's Right to send her sprawling.

That action has led to another match being made for Raw - a Last Woman Standing bout.
