It may have been four months since WWE's last show in Saudi Arabia, but the talking points which marred the main event of Super Showdown will live long in the memory of many.

For the first time ever, Goldberg and The Undertaker went one-on-one, but it was filled with scary spots and botched moves.

It drew criticism from former UFC fighter and current NXT superstar Matt Riddle, who widely mocked Goldberg on his social media account.

This shouldn't have surprised anyone - Riddle is known for being very outspoken, and his comments circulated very quickly.

Goldberg ended up coming back to distinguish the bad memories of Super Showdown, and that happened at SummerSlam, where he defeated Dolph Ziggler in a short, hard-hitting bout.

Before he stepped foot in the ring though, he would come face-to-face with Riddle backstage.

Riddle was appearing on WWE's Watch Along show when he detailed the encounter with the Hall of Famer, and it sounded too good to be true.

No-one knew if it had been filmed, and many presumed not as it seemed to be an unplanned moment.

WWE have cameras everywhere though, and they've finally released the footage of the face-to-face on a special Chronicle episode on the WWE Network.

The clip starts with both men bumping into each other, but both men look smiley as Goldberg told Riddle that the two 'need to talk' after his match with Ziggler.

A red-faced Riddle, clearly not expecting to bump into the man he was fiercely criticising some months ago, told Goldberg he would see him later, and it looked like the constant over-use of the word 'bro' was getting on Goldberg's nerves a tad.

By the end of their conversation, it did legitimately look like Goldberg was annoyed with him, and it's unclear whether or not they did indeed 'talk' later on in the night.

It's interesting to note that just a few days ago before SmackDown, Goldberg claimed to not know who Riddle was when talking to SkySports, but with this clip coming out it will generate lots of interest.

Goldberg isn't done in the ring by a long shot, and with FOX wanting a more sporting feel to SmackDown, a former UFC fighter like Riddle, who doesn't have a clear direction currently in NXT, could be a shoe-in for the main roster.

When that happens, we will be one step closer to Goldberg v Riddle, and like the man himself said - the plot thickens.
