Barcelona may have beaten Sevilla 4-0 on Sunday night but they ended the night with nine men.

Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal and Ousmane Dembele had given the home side a 3-0 lead at half-time.

And with 10 minutes remaining, Lionel Messi appeared to cap off a perfect night for Ernesto Valverde’s side with a delightful free-kick to make it 4-0.

But there was still time for 20-year-old Ronald Araujo to be sent off on his debut for his last-man foul. Dembele followed him to the dressing room for his protests.

The pair will now miss Barca’s trip to Eibar following the international break.

Another player that will miss that match is Gerard Pique, who picked up his fifth booking of the season in the 85th-minute.

Despite being 4-0 up, Pique was booked for unsportsmanlike conduct as he booted the ball away in frustration.

However, fans think he did it on purpose.

After Barca’s clash against Eibar is El Clasico. A yellow card in that would have meant Pique would be suspended for the Real Madrid game.

Now, Pique's slate is clean.

Very clever.

Of course, tactical yellow cards don’t always go to plan.

Sergio Ramos attempted to do just that in Real Madrid’s Champions League first leg tie against Ajax.

Real had won the away tie 2-1 and Ramos admitted that he had deliberately picked up a yellow to miss the second leg and wipe his disciplinary record clean for the quarter-finals.

Not only was Ramos handed an extra ban but he watched on as Ajax won the second leg 4-1 and knocked Real out.

We doubt Pique will be owning up to this one...
