Being a Manchester United fan must be hard at the moment.

Sunday once again saw the Red Devils embarrassed as they lost 1-0 away to Newcastle United, who were in the relegation zone heading into the game.

The dismal defeat followed Thursday's stalemate against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League and last Monday's 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal.

Goals have been hard to come by for United this season - they've only scored nine in eight Premier League games - and defensively they've hardly improved.

That's despite the signings of centre-back Harry Maguire and right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who cost a combined £130m in the summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job as manager is now at risk and even David de Gea said on Sunday that he doesn't know what's happening.

Something has got to change, but no one at United seems to know where to start.

United fans took to social media to express their frustration after the Newcastle defeat and one man who couldn't handle it was Mark Goldbridge.

During his live commentary of the game, when Matty Longstaff made it 1-0 in the 72nd minute, Goldbridge went into absolute meltdown. Check out the hilarious video below.

Wow. Goldbridge could hardly believe what he was watching as he came out with some golden analogies, such as:

  • "They wear black and white because they're a zebra crossing, it's an easy path to three points"
  • "It's the BTEC Longstaff. M Longstaff, I don't even know his first bloody name"
  • "Steve bloody Bruce. It's like losing a game of Hide and Seek to Stevie Wonder"
  • "I don't even have a 1 to put next to Newcastle"

United fans will surely feel Goldbridge's pain and be glad that the international break has come at this time.

However, their next opponents in the Premier League are Liverpool, who are currently top of the table having won all of their games.

It would be a massive shock to see United beat Jurgen Klopp's side, but Solskjaer will be desperate for a result and anything can happen at Old Trafford.
