Ole may be at the wheel but he’s got Manchester United in reverse right now.

The Red Devils are currently 12th in the Premier League table after a woeful 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday.

It’s all doom and gloom at Old Trafford right now. The club are just two points above the relegation zone and 15 behind league leaders Liverpool.

For a club with such a storied history, it’s not right.

#OleOut was trending on Twitter after the Newcastle loss but the problems at Man United run higher than their 46-year-old manager.

Ed Woodward and the Glazers shoulder much of the responsibility for the club’s struggles in the six years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

While their fans have reached boiling point, rival supporters are absolutely loving it.

Indeed, plenty are already planning to celebrate in case Man United get relegated.

An event has been set up on Facebook with the title: ‘Manchester United Relegation Party’.

It’s hosted by Liverpool Fc vs Manchester United Banter Page and over 50,000 people have responded to it.

The event description reads: “Bring your plastic flags, half and half scarves and song sheets.

“All welcome, including scousers.”

Thirteen-thousand people have already confirmed their attendance while 37,000 have said they are interested in going to the event held in the ‘City of Salford’.

The week-long event will be held from May 10 to May 17, which is the final date of the 2019/20 season.

Imagine, just imagine if it goes ahead.

Manchester United being relegated… it’s almost unthinkable.

The Red Devils really are the butt of the jokes right now.

Solskjaer’s side have won just five of their last 23 matches and need to get things on track quickly if they are to fulfil their ambitions of returning to the Champions League.
