With Manchester United sitting 12th, closer to the relegation zone than the top four, it seems Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s days in the dug-out could be numbered.

The Red Devils have picked up only two league wins so far this campaign and the finger has been firmly pointed his way.

Excitement mounted when Solskjaer took the reins permanently in March, but little did anyone know that his side would go on to only pick up 17 points in his first 16 games in charge.

It’s relegation form, that’s for sure.

It’s unclear when Solskjaer will face the chop but it seems United are already looking to the future where bosses are concerned.

That’s because the Red Devils are eyeing up RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann, According to Sportsmail.

At only 32-years-old, the German has been a full-time manager in the Bundesliga ever since he took over at Hoffenheim back in 2016.

He became the youngest manager in German top flight history after taking the role at 28-years-old but quickly picked up the nickname ‘Baby Mourinho.’

In his first full season as Hoffenheim boss, Nagelsmann steered the club into a Champions League qualification place for the first time, a year after they endured relegation worries.

His side went one better the season after when they clinched third spot, meaning they would enter the group stage of European’s top competition in the 2018-19 campaign.

He moved to Leipzig in June and his new side currently occupy a Europa League spot as they sit fifth in German’s top tier.

Newly appointed and with a contract which extends to 2023, United may have to wait if they are to secure his services.

Nevertheless, the club will be keeping tabs on the young manager as they hope to see him in the Old Trafford dug-out sometime in the future.
