Logan Paul’s trainer, and former heavyweight champion of the world, Shannon Briggs has claimed that Paul has the ability himself to one day become the heavyweight champion of the world.

The American YouTuber is fighting British personality KSI in a professional bout in LA on November 9.

The pair fought back in August of 2018 to a draw in Manchester in a White Collar amateur event, but this time around, it's turned professional, meaning there will be no head guards and a knockout is likely.

Briggs, who hasn’t fought himself since a 2016 win over Emilio Zarate, is a former world heavyweight champion and also helped Paul in the lead up to their first bout.

The Cannon has noticed a difference in Paul, however, and from what he's seen in this training camp, he believes the YouTuber has enough to one day rule the boxing world.

“Training is going phenomenal, he’s in terrific shape," Briggs said, as per The Sun.

“We already ahead of schedule, he’s punching hard.

“The only problem is the fight ain’t tonight.

This kid could be heavyweight champion of the world in four or five years, facts.

Briggs himself has not had been able to obtain a boxing license in either the UK or the US in the last few years.

Despite Briggs’ high praise, Paul has a different idea as to what the future holds for him following his first professional fight.

Speaking in one of the UK pre-fight press conferences, he said the following about his future: “I relied on my athleticism to carry me through the first fight and it almost worked.

"But now I am a boxer, I am literally a professional fighter and I feel like it.

“I would honestly love to fight in the UFC; I want Dana White to put me in the Octagon.”
