Tyson Fury's career has taken an extraordinarily strange turn in the last seven days. One month ago, The Gypsy King was preparing for his Las Vegas fight against Otto Wallin, which was his last planned bout before he heads for a rematch with Deontay Wilder in February 2020.That's providing the Bronze Bomber gets past Luis Ortiz in November first - but Fury got through his fight against Wallin, despite suffering a horrific gash above his eye.It needed 47 stitches to close and they were only taken out two weeks ago, so you'd think Fury would have his feet up at home and he'd be relaxing in-front of the television. This is Tyson Fury though, and he doesn't do anything by the book.

Fury was front-and-centre at the launch of WWE SmackDown on the FOX Network last Friday in Los Angeles, and it wasn't just for a fleeting visit.

The lineal Heavyweight Champion of the world was thrust into a spot with gargantuan superstar Braun Strowman, where Fury ended up jumping the barricade and was hauled out by security.

That would only be the start of the action though, as Fury made his way to Bakersfield for Monday Night Raw, where he got physical with Strowman for the first time.

The two were involved in a pull-apart brawl, and Fury displayed his 'wrestling punches' for the first time on some 'security guards' - they weren't very good.

Nevertheless Fury is going ahead with what you'd expect is a brief run in WWE - a match with Strowman for the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia on October 31 is expected to be announced tomorrow in a Las Vegas press conference.

Fury will also start training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, which proves he's committed to the cause - but one wrong move could prove catastrophic for his fight with Wilder.

It seems like his stint with the WWE is to promote the fight next year, but you have to worry about his eye and whether or not it will be accidentally re-opened.

If that were to happen, or he picked up a muscular injury, it would most likely rule him out of a Wilder fight in February, meaning that a mandatory for Wilder's WBC Title would be called, according to World Boxing News.

That would rule out the rematch being until at least late 2020, but factor in that Wilder has a '12-month plan' and facing Fury would be pushed back even further into early 2021.

No boxing fan wants to see the match get delayed any further, but Fury going to WWE is risky, but potentially lucrative business.
