Liverpool couldn't have wished to make a more perfect start to the 2019/20 season.

As the latest international break gets underway, the Reds are top of the Premier League on 24 points having won eight out of eight games.

Manchester City are eight points behind in second and already face an uphill battle to defend their crown.

The only black spot on Liverpool's season so far is the 2-0 defeat to Napoli in the Champions League, though they're still second in Group E after beating Red Bull Salzburg.

Next up is Manchester United at Old Trafford and it's a wonder how long Jurgen Klopp's side can keep up their winning streak.

Liverpool look unstoppable at the moment and it seems they have a lucky charm in Belgian striker Divock Origi.

Origi has scored some huge goals for Liverpool over the past year, such as against Everton, Barcelona and Tottenham in the Champions League final.

And even though he's only scored once this campaign, the Belgian has still had an important role to play.

In each of Liverpool's last three games against Sheffield United, RB Salzburg and Leicester City, Origi came on as a substitute with the scores level and the Reds went on to win.

Origi coming on makes a big difference for Liverpool, who scored the winner six minutes later against Sheffield, five minutes later against RB Salzburg and 17 minutes later against Leicester.

It won't have gone unnoticed, either. Klopp is tactically very astute and will be aware of Liverpool's track record of winning games late on with Origi on the pitch.
