Prepare yourselves football fans, Jose Mourinho is returning to management.

The Special One has been without a managerial job since he was sacked by Manchester United last December.

The ‘Special One’ has appeared on our TV screens recently as a pundit on Sky Sports, showing off his incredible knowledge of the sport.

And now, it seems it’s just a matter of time before he lands a new job.

That’s according to Lyon president, Jean Michel Aulas, anyway.

Aulas has confirmed that he spoke to Mourinho about potentially becoming their new manager.

However, the Portuguese turned them down because he’s set to take a job elsewhere.

"We had some fairly flattering exchanges over SMS. It was nice for everyone,” Aulas said.

He did not accept our proposal to meet because he has already chosen another club.

But, who is that club?

Real Madrid? Manchester United? Tottenham? Bayern Munich?

The four aforementioned clubs currently have managers, of course, but it seems a run of bad results could see them sack their respective managers.

Zinedine Zidane appears to have steadied the ship somewhat at the Bernabeu with Los Blancos now sitting top of La Liga.

Would be tempted to return to United? It’s unlikely but he’ll surely do a better job than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer right now.

Spurs could well be the most obvious choice. Mauricio Pochettino has seemingly lost the dressing room and Mourinho may be interested in a return to the Premier League.

And then there’s Bayern Munich. Niko Kovac hasn’t covered himself in glory in Bavaria and Mourinho recently revealed that he’s been ‘learning German.'

We'll soon find out, it seems.
