World champion boxer Errol Spence Jr is reportedly the 'high-profile name' that has been involved in a car crash in Dallas.

Sources have told CBS News in the United States that Spence is the man who is in a 'serious condition', after a Ferrari rolled over multiple times.

Dallas Police told the media that the victim was transported to hospital where they are expected to survive.

The police also stated that 'the Ferrari veered left over the center median onto the southbound lanes and flipped multiple times, ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt', per Madison Sawyer of CBS.

The New York-born star retained his IBF title and won the WBC welterweight championship against Shawn Porter less than two weeks ago via split decision.

Spence holds a perfect record of 26 wins with no defeats, and British fans saw him defeat Kell Brook in 2017 at Bramall Lane for the IBF welterweight title.

He is considered to be one of the pound-for-pound best boxers in the world right now but a serious injury could curtail any plans to fight the other top welterweight - Terence Crawford - in the near future.

No details have been released on the type of injury that Spence has suffered, but considering he was not wearing a seat-belt and was ejected from his seat, it could be bad.

His Instagram account also shows him to be at a club as recent as six hours ago, and the accident may not have happened much later.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Spence and his family and friends as he tries to recover from this tragic accident.
