Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has declared that he would be willing to promote a boxing match between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy for charity.

Social media erupted on Wednesday morning when Rooney accused Vardy of leaking her private stories to the tabloids via Instagram.

Rooney went on to state that she had spent over five months working out who was sharing stories based on her personal social media posts and eventually caught Vardy red handed.

Vardy has since denied all accusations and said she ‘never’ speaks to journalists about Coleen.

Hearn then chipped in and even offered his services should the two WAGs wish to settle their differences in the ring.

“You know what, for Sport Relief, I would promote a fight between the two,” Hearn told IFL TV whilst promoting next month’s KSI v Logan Paul rematch.

“They’d probably be quite decent as well.

“That’d be massive, wouldn’t it? How many pay-per-view buys?

“I must say, I did find it all quite fascinating.

“I love Coleen Rooney and the way she wrote. I was like, ‘Well, obviously she’s not gonna say who it is and it’s just a mate.’

“And it was, It’s……..Rebekah Vardy.”

A number of hours after the posts went viral, Irish club Sligo Rovers also decided to join in with the banter.

They announced that striker Roman Coughlan had signed a new contract with the Premier Division club in truly unique fashion.

Coughlan, who has scored eight league goals this season, looked thrilled to be extending his stay at the Showgrounds, but it was the way Sligo used the Rooney/Vardy narrative in the hilarious Twitter post that grabbed people’s attention.

“This has been a burden in our life for a few hours now and finally we have got to the bottom of it…..#bitored

“For a few hours now someone who follows us on our personal instagram account has signed a new contract.

“There has been so much information talked about this player, much of it by Sligo Rovers fans, friends and family all with our knowledge.

“After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, we had a suspicion.

“To try and prove this, we came up with an idea. We blocked every person on our instagram from viewing our story except this ONE player.

“Over the past five hours we have posted a series of stories of this player signing his contract to see if it made its way into Sligo Weekender. And you know what; it’s going to be in the Sligo Weekender tomorrow! The story about the two goals in Cork, the man of the match performances in so many games and his great hair.

“It has been tough keeping it to ourselves and not making any comment at all, especially when stories have been discussed about him going to other clubs. Now we know for certain it is true. He isn’t going anywhere.

“We have saved and screenshotted the story and we can now confirm this player has signed a new contract.

“It’s…..Roman Coughlan!”
