Jose Mourinho has managed some of the biggest football clubs in the world.

He's had an illustrious career, winning countless trophies across Europe. So when he gives his opinion, we usually listen.

The Special One has been away from the touchline for 10 months now, but that hasn't stopped him weighing in on the biggest debates.

He's been a regular pundit on Sky Sports and beIN Sport, dissecting the Premier League, Champions League and La Liga.

But this week, Mourinho has given his take on the debate we all love to have, over the greatest player of all-time.

For many, it's between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, two stars who have gone head to head for supremacy over the last decade.

So who does Mourinho back as the G.O.A.T? Well, neither of them. In terms of 'talent and skill', the Portuguese gives that title to Ronaldo Nazario.

"Ronaldo, El Fenomeno, Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi have had longer careers," he told LiveScore, per Marca

"They have remained at the top every day for 15 years. However, if we are talking strictly about talent and skill, nobody surpasses Ronaldo Nazario.

Ronaldo is the GOAT according to Jose Mourinho

"When he was at Barcelona with Bobby Robson, I realised that he was the best player I'd ever seen take to the field.

Mourinho also believes the Brazilian superstar could have been even better if it wasn't for injuries.

"Injuries killed a career that could have been even more incredible, but the talent that that 19-year-old boy had was something incredible.

Ronaldo's career could have been even better

"In 1997, Barcelona played against PSG in Rotterdam and Ronaldo's goal, 1-0. Awesome."

Mourinho's opinion, ranking Brazilian Ronaldo ahead of Messi and CR7 is one that many will disagree with.

But, it's one that has to be respected, considering everything the Special One has achieved in the game.

Mourinho's opinion should be respected

He knows talent when he sees it and Ronaldo had bags of it.
