The WWE Draft began on SmackDown on Friday, and in total, 20 selections were made between Raw and SmackDown.

In round one of the draft, Raw selected Becky Lynch with their first overall pick, as well as The O.C. and Drew McIntyre later in the round.

SmackDown, on the other hand, selected Roman Reigns with their first pick in the first round, and they also selected 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt later in the round.

In the second round, Raw selected Randy Orton, Ricochet, and Bobby Lashley with their picks, while SmackDown selected Sasha Banks and Braun Strowman.

In the third round, SmackDown picked Lacey Evans and The Revival with their selections, while Raw picked Alexa Bliss, Kevin Owens, and Natalya.

In the fourth and final round of the SmackDown WWE Draft, Raw selected The Viking Raiders, Nikki Cross, and The Street Profits, while SmackDown picked Lucha House Party and Heavy Machinery.

By the end of Friday's broadcast, Raw had made 12 selections while SmackDown had made eight. Both will be adding further superstars to their rosters once the WWE Draft resumes on Raw on Monday.

In the meantime, here's a look at six of the best draft picks on Friday night, three for Raw and three for SmackDown.

Raw

Becky Lynch

Unsurprisingly, the most over superstar of the past year in WWE and The Man, Becky Lynch, was selected first overall by Raw in last night's draft.

Given she's been dominant on the Raw brand ever since her WrestleMania main event win, she is deserving of the number one overall pick, and she'll continue to be the leader of the Women's Revolution and the face of WWE.

The O.C.

Raw also took AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson of The O.C. in the first round, it might end up being one of the steals of the draft.

Gallows and Anderson are one of the best tag teams in WWE, and Styles has the star power to be inserted into the Universal title picture at any time. Having The Phenomenal One as Universal Champion in the future would be a fresh new storyline for fans to enjoy on the red brand.

Randy Orton

Being a 13-time world champion, Randy Orton is another great selection for Raw in the WWE Draft.

Despite his illustrious history in WWE, one title which The Viper has never won is the Universal Championship. He's almost guaranteed to have a shot at the title soon, so it's going to be great to see him back in a world title picture so soon.

SmackDown

Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks has been fantastic ever since returning to WWE from hiatus back in August, and drafting her to SmackDown and keeping her away from Lynch is the right move, at least for now.

WWE can now build both up as huge figures in the women's division on their respective brands, and if her best friend Bayley remains on SmackDown too, fans will finally receive the Banks vs Bayley feud they've been asking for years for.

Braun Strowman

After being on Raw for so long, Braun Strowman now looks like he's finally been given an opportunity to spread his wings and fly on SmackDown.

The Monster Among Men will now hunt down the WWE Championship, but given the packed title picture with Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez, a shot at Shinsuke Nakamura and the Intercontinental title could give him a better chance of winning his first singles title in WWE.

Bray Wyatt

The most shocking draft pick on the night was made by SmackDown when they drafted Bray Wyatt. This pick was shocking solely because everyone expected him to stay on Raw.

He's one of the hottest superstars in the company right now, so it comes as no surprise Fox wants him on SmackDown. Hopefully, they'll keep 'The Fiend' as a special character to keep the gimmick intriguing.
