Liverpool look well on track to finally break their Premier League duck this season.

Jurgen Klopp's side are have already built a substantial lead over the chasing pack, with reigning champions Manchester City eight points behind.

The Reds have enjoyed a perfect start to the season, winning all eight of their Premier League fixtures so far.

One of the biggest factors behind their sublime year has been the electric form of Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese flyer has been unstoppable at times, forcing his way into contention for the biggest individual awards in the game.

In fact, a certain Lionel Messi even made Mane his first choice when voting for FIFA's The Best award.

Mane shared the Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as well - a feat made all the more impressive when you remember he is not an out and out striker.

Not a bad return for a winger.

The Reds are certainly on the up and if Mane's form continues, the Anfield faithful could finally see a Liverpool captain lift the holy grail of domestic football.

However, with 30 games still to play, they can not let the guard down.

Having surrendered a healthy lead last season, Liverpool will be desperate to avoid the same sort of slip up that has wrecked their title charges in the past.
