David Beckham is ready to begin a career as a football agent.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player registered Footwork Management Ltd in September, with friend Dave Gardner and former PR chief Nicola Howson also listed as directors.

The Mirror reported last month that Manchester United starlet Mason Greenwood is a potential target to join Footwork Management’s stable of players.

Beckham has kept busy since retiring from football in 2013 and is pressing ahead with plans to launch an MLS franchise.

Inter Miami are expected to start playing in MLS in 2020 and have been linked with a host of stars including Mesut Ozil and Edinson Cavani.

Any company attached to Beckham’s name will never struggle for publicity and could soon boast a roster of big names.

And Beckham is keen to make a splash by signing one of the biggest names in the game.

According to the Daily Mail, the former England captain is targeting Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe as his first blue-chip client.

It would be a lucrative move for Beckham and his company. Mbappe won the World Cup with France last year and is considered to be a future Ballon d’Or winner.

He is unsettled at PSG, though, with Real Madrid and Manchester City both interested in signing the 20-year-old.

Beckham played for PSG in the 2012/13 season and still has contacts at the club.

The Mail’s report adds that he has had several meetings with Mbappe.

The France international became one of the world’s most in-demand footballers following his breakthrough season at Monaco.

He signed for PSG in 2017 and has scored 62 goals in 92 appearances for the Paris outfit.

Mbappe has the world at his feet and could soon become the face of Beckham’s company.
