John Terry has bought a £4.35 million mansion just yards away from former Chelsea teammate Wayne Bridge.

In 2010, Terry was accused of sleeping with Bridge’s partner - Vanessa Perroncel, the mother of Bridge’s son Jaydon.

Bridge and Perroncel had been together for four years but had just broken up when Terry reportedly seduced her.

A super-injunction had initially prevented the details from emerging but they were lifted after a week.

A source told The Sun: “It’s going to be pretty hard for them not to bump into each other. They are literally just a few minutes walk apart. It could make an awkward meeting.’’

The pair did meet shortly after the story broke when Terry’s Chelsea faced Bridge’s Manchester City.

Before kick-off, Bridge famously refused to shake the hand of Terry.

"The most disappointing aspect of it all is that I'm probably more famous for not shaking someone's hand than I am for playing football," Bridge has said previously.

"I get abuse walking down the street now and I let it go in one ear and out the other. It's a handshake after all, nothing more."

City beat Chelsea 4-2 that day with Bridge’s teammates clearly desperate for Bridge to get his revenge on Terry on the pitch.

"It's so hard for me to talk about the scenario because there would be other stuff to divulge,' Bridge said.

"But what I will say is that I could not believe the atmosphere at the game that day and the reaction of my team-mates, in the build-up to the match and during.

"I still don't think anyone knows the full story but my team-mates that day were amazing. I felt like my team-mates wanted to win, for me."
