Barcelona are on the hunt to replace Luis Suarez

That's according to reports from Spain, with Mundo Deportivo suggesting the La Liga champions are drawing up a shortlist of strikers to replace their Uruguayan.

Suarez is still one of the most feared forwards in Europe, but he's turning 33-years-old in just a few months and his goal haul has been steadily declining in the last few seasons.

It seems now is a good time to replace him then, but who exactly is on Barca's list? Rather sensationally, one of them is Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.

Mundo Deportivo write that the Blaugrana have been following him for a few seasons now and that there was a lot of interest before the 21-year-old signed a new deal at Old Trafford.

Should Barca make a move for Rashford in January, it would certainly come as a shock.

The United striker hasn't made a good start to the campaign and he's scored just one goal from open play in his last 16 matches.

Rashford is also still struggling with injury and hasn't looked himself over the last few weeks, even though he's been declared match-fit.

On top of that, there's still a lot of debate over his best position - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plays him down the middle, while Gareth Southgate uses him on the wing during England games.

There's still a lot to be worked out around Rashford as it stands, so if Barca were to sign him, it would be quite the risk.

He's not the only name on the list, of course.

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly the Catalan club's 'dream' signing, while Harry Kane and Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez are also being monitored.

Mundo's report adds that Suarez's performances over the coming months will decide if Barca dip into the transfer market in January - and given their recent activity, it wouldn't be a huge surprise.
