One-club players are a dying breed.

Francesco Totti, Ryan Giggs and Lionel Messi - we salute you.

But the urge to try something different in your final years, move to a bigger club or earn an obscene amount of money elsewhere is often too tempting for many players.

So we’ve decided to pay tribute to those with a bit of loyalty.

Therefore, GIVEMESPORT have decided to look at the longest-serving player at each Premier League club.

Arsenal | Emiliano Martinez | 17 appearances

The reserve goalkeeper has been at Arsenal since 2010 but has only played six times in the Premier League. The Argentine is the club’s Europa League ‘keeper this season.

Aston Villa | Jack Grealish | 155 appearances

Has been at Aston Villa since the age of six but made his debut at 18. Now club captain in the Premier League.

Bournemouth | Charlie Daniels | 265 appearances

Signed from Tottenham in January 2012, Daniels has helped Bournemouth rise from League One to the Premier League.

Brighton | Lewis Dunk | 278 appearances

Like Daniels with Bournemouth, Dunk has helped Brighton go from League One to the Premier League and has remained with the club throughout. Other than a three-appearance loan-spell with Bristol City, Dunk is a one-man club. Club captain.

Burnley | Kevin Long | 63 appearances

The defender signed for Burnley in January 2010 and, despite never really being a first-team regular, has stayed at Turf Moor. In nine years at the club, he’s made just 47 league appearances.

Chelsea | Cesar Azpilicueta | 348 appearances

Signed for £7 million from Marseille in 2012, Azpilicueta has proved to be an excellent signing. Has missed just two Premier League matches in the last four seasons and is now club captain.

Crystal Palace | Joel Ward | 226 appearances

Palace paid Portsmouth £400,000 for Ward in 2012 and he’s been a great servant for the club. Holds the record for most Premier League appearances for a Crystal Palace player.

Everton | Leighton Baines | 411 appearances

Everton snapped up Baines from Wigan for just £6 million in 2007 - an incredible piece of business. Now vice-captain.

Leicester | Andy King | 375 appearances

From League One to Premier League champion.

King only managed one appearance in all competitions last season but he’s still a club legend.

Liverpool | Jordan Henderson | 335 appearances

The Champions League winning captain. Henderson has silenced his critics and is now an important cog in Jurgen Klopp’s machine.

Manchester City | David Silva | 407 appearances

This season will be Silva’s last at the Etihad. He’s been magic since arriving in 2010 from Valencia and will be sorely missed by City fans - and Premier League fans in general.

Manchester United | Phil Jones | 218 appearances

Perhaps this sums up United’s troubles right now. Signed from Blackburn for £16.5m in 2011. He played 29 times in the league during his debut campaign - the most he’s managed in the eight seasons he’s been at the club. That tells you something.

Newcastle United | Rob Elliot | 68 appearances

Played back-up goalkeeper since arriving at Newcastle in 2011 - although he did play 21 times in the league during the 2015/16 season. Now third-choice behind Martin Dubravka and Karl Darlow.

Norwich | Alex Tettey | 212 appearances

Now in his third stint playing in the Premier League with Norwich following relegations during the 2013/14 and 2015/16 seasons.

Sheffield United | Chris Basham | 248 appearances

Another player that has been with his club in League One and now finds himself in the Premier League.

Southampton | Jack Stephens | 81 appearances

Signed for the Saints in April 2011 and has been shipped out on loan a handful of times. But he’s now forced his way into the first-team at St Mary’s.

Tottenham | Danny Rose | 206 appearances

Signed for £1 million from Leeds in 2007 and has certainly paid that back in the 12 years since despite his recent sketchy form.

Watford | Troy Deeney | 373 appearances

Deeney was playing in League One with Walsall when Watford signed him for  £500,000. 123 goals later and Deeney is a proper club legend.

West Ham | Mark Noble | 474 appearances

Talking of proper club legends…

Noble was 13 when he signed for West Ham and is now club captain.

Wolves | Matt Doherty | 263 appearances

Started his Wolves career in the Premier League during the 2010/11 season - although he only made one league appearance in the two seasons they were in the top-fight.

Dropped down to League One but is now starring in the Premier League and the Europa League.
