We now live in a world where Tyson Fury is just weeks away from stepping into a WWE ring for a match, and unsurprisingly, his promoter, Frank Warren, doesn't want him to.

Tyson Fury will compete for WWE when they travel to Saudi Arabia for their Crown Jewel event later this month on October 31. There, he will have a match against Braun Strowman.

Despite the scripted nature of WWE, the undefeated boxer will still be putting his body on the line when he faces The Monster Among Men on Halloween, and this is something his promoter is concerned about.

Speaking on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT, Frank Warren expressed his concern with The Gypsy King stepping foot into a WWE ring, even if it's for a one-off match.

He believes it could jeopardise the boxer's career, and he even stated that he didn't know the WWE match was happening until after Fury's initial appearance on SmackDown over a week ago.

He said, according to Wrestling News: “What can you say? He went out there to watch it and the next minute he’s involved in it, it’s unbelievable. But that’s Tyson.

"He’s supposed to be taking a rest and taking it easy, but he’s decided that he wants to do this and he’s going to do it… No he didn’t [discuss it with me]. He’s done it and we’ve discussed it afterwards. I’d be a liar if I said I was pleased with it, I’d prefer him not to do it but he’s doing it.”

Warren added that he's doing his best to be positive about the upcoming WWE match.

He said: “Listen, I’ve seen WWE fighters get cuts, it’s the nature of contact sports. It could happen but I hope it doesn’t. I’d prefer he didn’t do it because it could jeopardize his boxing career.

"But he’s doing it and he’s his own man. In some ways I suppose it’s keeping him focussed and keeping fit and well. It’s not like he’s a baby, he’s 30 years of age.”

Since the Fury vs Strowman match was rumoured, reports have emerged revealing The Gypsy King has been working out at WWE's Performance Center in Orlando in order to prepare himself for the clash.

Hopefully, the fact Fury is taking this match seriously by preparing for it with WWE will ease the mind of Warren a little bit.
