It's a simply astonishing landmark to reach and he's become only the sixth player to ever score that many career goals.

We all remember the famous strikes, but what about the rest? How exactly did Ronaldo go about scoring his 700 goals?

What a brilliant record and Ronaldo isn't finished yet. He'll have plenty of chances to add to his ridiculous haul this season and beyond, for both Juventus and Portugal.

He has time to score plenty more

The forward may have been celebrating a personal landmark on Monday night, but he wouldn't have been happy at full-time.

His national side were beaten 2-1 by Ukraine in their latest Euro 2020 qualifying fixture.

The defeat means Portugal are second in Group B, eight points behind the leaders, who beat them last night.

Portugal lost to Ukraine last night

With only two games left to play, Ronaldo and his teammates can't win their group, so they will be settling for second place at best.

With Serbia only one point behind, Portugal can't afford to slip up - otherwise, they may not even qualify for Euro 2020 to defend their crown.
