It is hard to remember a time before Jurgen Klopp's trademark ear-to-ear smile took Merseyside by storm.

The bespectacled German has been a breath of fresh air in the Premier League and has been the driving force behind Liverpool's incredible resurgence.

Who can blame him for smiling with the Champions League trophy tucked neatly away in the cabinet and yet another Premier League title tilt on the cards?

In general, the Kop icon is just a very likeable fellow, with some of the most ardent opposition fans even admitting to such.

However, just when you thought you couldn't like Jurgen anymore, a story has emerged from his trip to South Africa in 2017.

While on his travels, Klopp stopped in at Hout Bay United in the Western Cape where he generously donated £10,000 of his own bob to the clubs charity initiative, Joy is Round.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the initiative is aimed at raising funds for community football through the sale of balls and art, made from old clothing and other materials.

Hout Bay United is not just a football club, however.

The club runs teams for children aged 7-18 but goes a step further by empowering young people and supporting them with their education and employment opportunities.

Klopp is a patron for the club and, while he made the initial donation two years ago, news of his generosity has only recently emerged.

According to the clubs co-founder, Jeremy Elson, the club have achieved a brilliant 100% employment record for young people that have made their way through their structures.

He also outlined that Klopp has continued to support their efforts since his visit in 2017.

"Jurgen is a fantastic chap to have associated with the club," said Elson.

"He came and did a talk in 2017, where he spoke about his time as a manager, his philosophy, football, his ambitions.

He spoke for over two hours in total, everyone was captivated by him.

"The most amazing thing about him is how humble he is."

Jurgen Klopp, everyone.

What a guy.
