Cristiano Ronaldo reached a landmark 700 goals on Monday night.

He buried a penalty during Portugal's 2-1 defeat to Ukraine, becoming only the sixth player in history to join the '700' club.

Josef Bican, Pele, Romario, Ferenc Puskas and Gerd Muller are the other players to have reached that number during their careers.

Along the road to 700, Ronaldo has scored some absolute screamers. But what are the 10 greatest goals he's ever scored?

Well, here at GIVEMESPORT, we've decided to try and rank them.

Of course, what defines a great goal is completely subjective, so everybody's list will probably look different - but check out ours below.

10) Real Madrid vs Barcelona, 2017

Ronaldo loved an El Clasico goal and scored 18 against Barca while he was playing in Spain.

His effort in 2017 was the pick of the bunch, as he cut inside to the edge of the box before curling the ball into the top corner. His celebration was rather iconic, too.

9) Manchester United vs Arsenal, 2009

The first of three freekicks to feature on this list came against the Gunners a decade ago.

Ronaldo was 40 yards out but that didn't stop him smashing his set-piece past Manuel Almunia - in a Champions League semi-final, no less.

8) Real Madrid vs Espanyol, 2016

Another of his best solo efforts was scored against Espanyol.

Ronaldo was played in behind the defence and he chopped inside, pulled off a beautiful step over to create some space and fired his shot into the net from 20 yards.

7) Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano, 2012

This one is just outrageous.

The ball is bouncing around in the penalty area and Ronaldo, with his back to goal around 12 yards out, unleashes a powerful backheel that sends the ball past seven players and into the bottom corner.

6) Real Madrid vs Valencia, 2014

Another backheel of sorts, but this one is even better than the first. This time, the ball is crossed in and Ronaldo, again with his back turned, manages to get his right leg up to flick the ball in.

The cherry on top? He made it 3-2 to Real in the 92nd minute of the game.

5) Portugal vs Spain, 2018

Another late, late goal from Ronaldo. This one came at the World Cup. With Portugal 3-2 down in the 88th minute, the captain stepped up and curled a stunning freekick past David de Gea.

When he was standing over the ball, it seemed almost inevitable he'd put it in the back of the net and in doing so, Ronaldo completed his hat-trick.

4) Real Madrid vs Osasuna, 2014

Ronaldo showed off the 'knuckleball' technique with this one. Talk about hitting the sweet spot.

Picking the ball up inside the Osasuna half, he unleashed a ferocious effort from 35 yards that dipped and spun to wrong-foot the 'keeper. Incredible power and accuracy on show.

3) Manchester United vs Portsmouth, 2008

The oldest goal on the list is one of Ronaldo's best ever. Superlatives struggle to describe this freekick that just arrows perfectly into the top corner. All we can do is watch in awe.

2) Manchester United vs Porto, 2009

Another special strike from his Man United days. It's another 40-yard screamer, but not from a set-piece like the other one.

A swing of the right leg is all it took for Ronaldo to drill one past the Porto goalkeeper and it will go down in history as one of the greatest ever in the Champions League.

1) Real Madrid vs Juventus, 2018

Ronaldo's screamer vs Porto is one of the greatest, but his overhead kick vs Juventus is surely the greatest ever scored in the Champions League.

It's like a work of art. He seems to hang in the air for seconds before connecting with his right foot to send the ball past a helpless Gianluigi Buffon.

So there we have it, GIVEMESPORT's attempt at ranking 10 of Ronaldo's greatest career goals.
