Liverpool starlet target Christian Eriksen added to his growing reputation with an impressive performance against England.

The Danish international has been heavily linked with a move to the Barclays Premier League, with Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger both thought to be interested.

Dutch legend Dennis Bergkamp reportedly alerted Wenger over the player's ability and availability a year ago, but Arsenal were unable to bring the player to the Emirates.

Liverpool director of football strategy, Damien Comolli, is thought to be very keen on the player, and took a serious notice of his skills whilst in Amsterdam negotiating a deal for Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan international completed his move to Anfield, but now the Frenchman is keen to return to the Godenzonen and bring Eriksen back to Liverpool.

An Eredivisie regular with experience at both domestic, european and international level, the midfielder gave a glimpse of his ability in the 1-2 defeat against England this evening.

Architect of the opening goal of the game, scored by Liverpool defender Daniel Agger, Eriksen was arguably the pick of the home team's players and created the Danish side's other best chance with a lovely back heel in the second half.

Valued in the region of €12 million, the 18-year-old's value is only going to rise alongside his consistency levels.

New Liverpool owners NESV proved that they are willing to back Dalglish in the transfer market in January, with two big striker signings heralding a change in fortunes for the Merseysiders.

Eriksen would add to the attacking midfield talent at Anfield, and the teenager could be a star of the future were Liverpool able to entice him to England.
