Liverpool fans have mixed opinions when it comes to Brendan Rodgers.
They suffered many disappointments under the Northern Irishman, but they also came extremely close to winning their first Premier League title.
Ultimately, his sacking paved the way for a new era for the club under Jurgen Klopp.
Rodgers has since dominated Scotland with Celtic and is assembling an impressive Leicester City side right now.

Well, GIVEMESPORT have decided to look at the 33 signings that he made whilst in charge of the club and ask - what happened to them?
Fabio Borini
Rodgers’ first signing scored just three times following his £10.5 million move. Now at AC Milan via Sunderland.
Joe Allen
Managed 132 appearances for the club and featured in Klopp’s first season at the club. Now at Stoke City in the Championship.
Oussama Assaidi
Only played four times in the Premier League for Liverpool. Currently without a club after leaving Twente in the summer.
Nuri Sahin
Never flourished at Anfield despite his pedigree. Went to Borussia Dortmund but now at Werder Bremen.
Samed Yesil
Only made two first-team appearances in four years. Still only 25 but now plays in the German third division for KFC Uerdingen 05.
Daniel Sturridge
With 67 goals in 145 games for Liverpool, Sturridge proved to be a fantastic signing by Rodgers for just £12m. Left the club for Trabzonspor in the summer.
Philippe Coutinho
A steal at £8m, Coutinho served Liverpool for five years and scored 54 goals. Upset the club with his move to Barcelona. Now on loan at Bayern Munich.
Luis Alberto
Only 12 appearances for Liverpool but he’s now become one of the best midfielders in Serie A with Lazio.
Iago Aspas
Another player that significantly improved after leaving Liverpool. Remembered for his terrible corner vs Chelsea but now impressive for Celta Vigo and Spain.
Simon Mignolet
Spent six years at the club before leaving to return to his native country with Club Brugge.
Kolo Toure
Something of a cult hero at Anfield during his three seasons. Now a coach for Rodgers’ Leicester.
Aly Cissokho
The left-back played 19 times during his loan spell but didn’t do enough to earn a permanent move. Now at Turkish Süper Lig club Antalyaspor.
Mamadou Sakho
Was probably Liverpool’s strongest defender under Rodgers but fell out with Klopp. Now at Crystal Palace, moving there for £27m.
Tiago Ilori
Was highly-rated after he joined but failed to make a Premier League appearance at the club. Now at Sporting.
Victor Moses
Played as a right wing-back during his loan spell in the 2013/14 season. He’s currently on loan at Fenerbahce from Chelsea.
Rickie Lambert
Two goals in 25 league appearances from the boyhood Liverpool fan. Now retired.
Adam Lallana
Still at the club more than five years after Rodgers splashed £25m on him.
Emre Can
Rodgers couldn’t figure out Can’s best position, while Klopp was happy to let him leave on a free to Juventus.
Kevin Stewart
Signed from Tottenham on a free transfer and managed 20 appearances before moving to Hull - in a deal that saw Andy Robertson arrive.
Lazar Markovic
One of Rodgers’ worst signings. £20m for the Serbian who never looked any good. Now at Partizan in his native country.
Dejan Lovren
Has had his ups and downs at Liverpool but he’s still an important first-team player.
Divock Origi
Not really given a chance by Rodgers. Now a club legend whatever happens in the rest of his career for his Champions League - and Merseyside derby - heroics last season.
Javier Manquillo
Ten league appearances during his loan spell. Now at Newcastle.
Alberto Moreno
Played 141 times for the club but the left-back never convinced fans before he left for Villarreal.
Mario Balotelli
What was Rodgers thinking? Balotelli at Liverpool was never a good fit. Now plays for Serie A club Brescia.
Joe Gomez
Was played as a left-back by Rodgers after being signed from Charlton. It obviously didn’t do him much harm as he’s considered one of the best centre-backs in Europe right now.
Adam Bogdan
Was signed as a back-up and that showed. Played twice in the Premier League and made a terrible mistake against Watford during a 3-0 loss. Currently without a club.
Danny Ings
Scored the last goal in the Rodgers era. Left the club for Southampton in the summer with four goals to his name at Liverpool.
James Milner
What a signing for absolutely nothing. Still a key member in Klopp’s side, having played almost 200 times for the club. Vice-captain.
Nathaniel Clyne
Was Liverpool’s first choice right-back under Klopp until a serious injury and the emergence of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Still at the Anfield club but is very much out of favour.
Roberto Firmino
“When I saw that Liverpool had signed him, I thought: 'How could Liverpool do this?’”
They’re the words of Klopp who sees Firmino as a vital cog in his system. The Brazilian has scored 69 goals since his arrival.
Christian Benteke
Failed to live up to his £32.5m price tag with 10 goals in 42 games. Klopp didn’t fancy him and was offloaded to Crystal Palace.
Allan Rodrigues de Souza
Rodgers’ last signing is actually still at the club. On his sixth loan spell at Brazilian club Fluminense, the 22-year-old is still awaiting a work permit in order to play for Liverpool.
