WWE's next venture to Saudi Arabia is fast approaching, which means that outlandish matches and ones that don't make much sense are going to be taking place.

Both Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair are being wheeled out to the Middle East to manage teams created by them in a special 10-man tag match.

The event will also see sports stars Tyson Fury and Cain Velasquez step into a WWE ring for the first time, with the former facing Braun Strowman and the latter challenging former enemy Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship.

And this years WWE World Cup is not an elimination tournament - it has been replaced by the largest Tag Team Turmoil match in history, with the winners being crowned the best tag team in the world.

The Saudi's love to create new things such as the World Cup and the 'Greatest Royal Rumble', and they also like to pay WWE a lot of money to bring legends to the Kingdom.

One man who has been an ever-present at these events since they signed a deal last year is The Undertaker.

He defeated Rusev in a Casket Match in April 2018, teamed up with Kane to face D-Generation X in November last year, and earlier in 2019 he faced Goldberg at Super ShowDown in a very memorable encounter.

However Crown Jewel 2019 is going to feel very different - as Taker is not being booked for the event, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, per Wrestling Inc.

It's very bizarre considering The Deadman was used in the initial promotional footage for the show, and just yesterday appeared in the city of Riyadh on a huge float.

Taker didn't cover himself in full glory with his match against Goldberg, but since then both men have fully redeemed themselves inside the ring, so it would be interesting to know why WWE don't want to use him this time around.

If it's to showcase more current stars, then that will please a lot of WWE fans around the world who don't particularly think the legends deserves to steal ring time from others who need it more.

But the Saudi fans will probably be gutted that Taker will no longer be appearing - instead they will get the likes of Flair, Hogan, Lesnar and Fury in his place.
