Danny Welbeck lasted just two minutes v Spurs after picking up hamstring injury

Tottenham Hotspur v Watford FC - Premier League

Danny Welbeck is made of glass - it's official.

The Watford striker was forced from the pitch after only two minutes on Saturday with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Welbeck clutched at his hamstring after just 55 seconds, signalling for treatment straight away.

It was another in a painfully long line of injuries that have scuppered what could have been a very prolific career for the Englishman.

Having been given a lifeline by Watford, Welbeck would have been hoping to resurrect his stuttering career but this latest injury will prove to be another setback.

It just doesn't look like it will ever happen for the 28-year-old who looks set for yet more time watching on from the physio's bench.

Having spent the large part of last season on the sidelines, Welbeck would have targeted this season as a means for a potential breakthrough.

More to follow as the situation develops.

Poor old Danny.
