Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov were exchanged in a personal Twitter spat on Saturday.

The exchange began when McGregor lashed out at UFC president Dana White for his recent comments about the pair of fighters.

White told The Boston Globe: “Khabib is the man now. Conor isn’t the man anymore, so Khabib gets to sit back and call the shots.”

McGregor understandably wasn’t happy with White’s statement and hit back on Twitter.

The Notorious took aim at September’s UFC 242 event in Abu Dhabi, where Khabib defended his UFC lightweight belt against Dustin Poirier.

“Who’s not the man? Your man had that marquee event did he? More like an event in a marquee. A tent in the fucking sand it was,” McGregor said.

“Keep spoofing to your self horse. Jock strap sniffer championships.”

Nurmagomedov then weighed in with a personal shot at McGregor, appearing to brand him an alcoholic.

“This is a fiasco wino,” the 28-0 Nurmagomedov replied in Russian.

McGregor then shot back in Russian himself, writing: “See you in Moscow, p*ssy”.

The feud then turned uglier, with Nurmagomedov calling McGregor “a rapist” with his response.

“In Moscow, rapists are not expected,” he said.

It also looks like McGregor has been to a Russian embassy for a visa application.

The pair’s rivalry reached another level thanks to the brawl that broke out after their fight at UFC 229 in October 2018.

McGregor hasn’t fought since he was beaten by Khabib in the fourth round of their contest, and the past year has been rather problematic for the 31-year-old.

His Twitter spat with Nurmagomedov came on the same day that it was reported that he is facing a second allegation of sexual assault in Ireland.

It’s unclear when McGregor will return to the Octagon, with White stifling talk of a bout with Frankie Edgar.

“Edgar's two weight classes below him,” White told the Boston Herald.

“Conor loves to fight and wants to fight again but the Frankie Edgar fight isn't going to happen.”

However, the UFC president believes the former lightweight champion will come back in 2020.

“I think Conor will fight next year,” he added.
