Prank videos have grown in popularity across the world thanks to the internet and, in particular, the arrival of YouTube in the mid-2000s.

There are YouTubers who make their living from pranking people and many of the most popular prank videos on the platform range from hilarious to, well, downright cruel.

Celebrities are by no means off-limits - indeed, some of the funniest prank videos involve the rich and famous - and it was Amir Khan’s turn to be on the receiving end this week.

Anybody who saw Khan on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ a couple of years ago would probably guess that pranking the boxer isn’t particularly difficult.

His wife, Faryal Makhdoom, clearly felt the same as she was the one who decided to prank her husband for her YouTube channel.

Faryal was asked by Amir to liaise with their friend Sam to change $7 million into pounds ahead of Brexit.

But she saw this as the perfect opportunity to prank her spouse and set up two hidden cameras in their kitchen.

Faryal told Amir she’d accidentally transferred £2 million to Sam - instead of the £20 she owed him - and that he was no longer returning her calls.

Poor old Amir then had a meltdown.

"What the f*** do you do all day?” the furious 32-year-old said to his beloved wife.

"From £20 you were supposed to put in, to £2million?

"How do we get him to send it back?

"Legally, that’s it. We can’t chase him back for that money.

"From £20 to £2million you dumb f***. What is wrong with you Faryal?

"What the f***’s wrong with your head?"

While Faryal keeps up the pretence, Sam informs Amir that he can only return the £2 million in £10,000 daily instalments because of an issue with his bank account.

“I’ll be dead by then!” Amir says back to his friend.

Eventually, after 10 long minutes, Amir is finally put out of his misery by his wife.

Faryal was in stitches and said to Amir: ”Do you really think I'd give away £2m!"
