There was yet more VAR controversy in Manchester United against Liverpool on Sunday.Liverpool went into the game as heavy favourites but they fell behind late in the first half.Daniel James did some brilliant work down the right-hand side and his cross was converted by Marcus Rashford.Liverpool's players and Jurgen Klopp were all left seething as the referee failed to give a foul when Victor Lindelof took down Divock Origi.Replays showed that there was contact and Liverpool were right to feel aggrieved.

Gary Neville even commented that it was a definite foul.

However, after VAR checked the incident, the goal still stood.

Jamie Carragher was also adamant it was a foul.

“I want it [VAR] to work and be good for the game,” he said, per the Daily Express.

“But there’s no doubt over the credibility of VAR. This is going to be a talking point after the game. A foul is a foul.”

VAR worked against Liverpool again later on in the half.

Sadio Mane appeared to get Liverpool level when he made his way into the box and his left footed strike went past David de Gea.

However, replays showed that it was handball and the goal was rightfully chalked out on this occasion.
